I had an out of sorts day yesterday. Already decided I wasn't going to get up for church if I didn't wake up properly in time without using my alarm, so I didn't. Eventually got up around 1.30 and just made the 2.24 train into London. Felt quite weird all day. Was pleased with the atmosphere in the Emirates - not bad for Bolton, and woke me up a bit.
Then Ros and I went to the World's End pub. Went to the bar, with my wallet, and bought the second round. Shoved wallet back in bag and under table. 20 minutes or so later, realised bag had moved slightly. Went to check for texts: found phone and wallet gone!![]()
I suppose it's not bad going, having lived in London on and off for 5 years and only just got around to having anything nicked (not really counting getting drunk enough to leave my wallet on the bar as that was stupid. Whoever did this had skill).
So I had to go to Hornsey Road police station and report the crime. All well and good, but I then managed to leave my bag with my new Arsenal jacket in the police station!! Went back, fortunately as it's a police station it hadn't been stolen
Thanks Ros for accompanying me and lending me £10 to get home and giving me a hug!
Today I saw Trevor first thing and he said "See you Wednesday". I think that means he's coming to Half Time after the game, although this would have been difficult to deduce from his utterly incoherent email, so I'm glad I saw him!
Last week was quite cool, hence not having time to blog. Disappointed to find racist graffiti in the lift at work, but by Saturday two people had counteracted it - one person criticising the racist's use of English and the other simply writing "Racist Prick!" That restored my faith in humanity somewhat. Had fun at Cazza's on Wednesday watching Sp*rs-Arsenal, and had lunch with Gary on Saturday, setting the world to rights over a few pints. I wouldn't be surprised if he joined the SWP soon. He seems keen.
Can't remember the last time I blogged, or what about... Oh yes, being like an actor or something. Well, I obviously didn't get round to mentioning Arsenal 2 Man Utd 1!
Great game. My new seat is right at the back on an aisle, and so everyone who'd left early came piling back in when they heard the roar. Dancing in the aisles, literally!
Right, I think that's all for now. Hope you're all OK.
God bless, Jenni xx
